Glyphs
In 2011, font designer and software developer Georg Seifert pushed the market of the font editors vigorously. Its new Glyphs, designed exclusively for Mac OS, set new standards in simplicity and ease of use. The program takes the designer many complex, technical settings and work steps and does this independently in the background. However, Glyphs are not just a beginner's program. Extensive font development in complex scripting systems is also possible and the program is easily extensible through plugins.
